Contact Lens Consultations

At KJ Optometrists, we specialize in providing personalized contact lens consultations to ensure that you find the perfect lenses for your lifestyle and visual needs.

Our dedicated team of optometrists conducts a series of essential tests to assess your eye health and determine the best contact lens option for you.

Below are key components of our contact lens consultation process:

1. Prescription Examination

This test evaluates your current vision and determines the appropriate prescription for your contact lenses.

Our optometrists will ensure that your prescription meets your unique vision needs for optimal clarity and comfort.

2. Assessment of Eye Health

Using a slit lamp, our optometrists will assess your eye health, specifically focusing on the areas that will interact with contact lenses.

This examination helps us also identify any potential underlying conditions, like dry eyes, that could affect your ability to wear lenses comfortably.

3. Contact Lens Fitting and Assessment

During this process, we often use multiple lenses from different brands in order to determine which is the best for your eyes in terms of vision and comfort.

For first time wearers, our consultation includes teaching how to insert the lenses, remove and clean the contact lenses as well.

4. Follow-up Consultation

On your next visit, we will check in with you to ask how well your contact lenses are performing and to address any questions or concerns.

This important step allows us to make any necessary adjustments to your lenses or fitting to ensure optimal comfort and vision.
